FACHTICHISMOS /// FACHTISHISM

Muerto.

El Bosque is a commune of the south of Santiago bordering with San Bernardo to the south, La Pintana to the southeast, La Granja to the east, La Cisterna to the north, Lo Espejo to the west. The "residential" surface of this commune is proportional to the half that occupies the "military enclosure" of the aviation school Captain Manuel Avalos Prado "Fach", place where kidnapping and torture took place during the 1973 military dictatorship. The great majority of people living in the commune aspire to work or study within this enclosure where, to others, the inhabitants coexist with the aircraft engines approaching and moving away between buzzing on the roof of the houses, day and night. Once a year, in mid-August, the sky fills with airplanes, colored fumes and kamikaze pirouettes, a spectacle that makes people leave the houses, jobs and schools.

This fanzine is narrated by a pilot, who within his routine has a reflective moment, about people, about racism, about the joy of watching and enjoying leisure. Concern, he awakes when he realizes that he sleeps on earth. Dead.
