La medicina moderna enajena a las personas, de sujeto concreto pasa a ser una caso clínico, un objeto manipulable, interpretado por la mirada medica en términos “ sistema orgánico”. Esto se transforma en negación, en represión de la persona por el privilegio concedido al objeto, quitandole a los individuos enfermos el poder de reflexionar, fuente de la subjetividad, a su vez condición central del sujeto que nos hace seres con voluntad.
En un orden jerarquico, el estado, la iglesia y la medicina moderna son sistemas de represion hacia la subjetividad y la capacidad reflexiva de las personas. En su interior, la medicina emerge como la institución que guía y dicta las normas higiénicas y de comportamiento deseables, saludables y racionales, con el objetivo explìcito de preservar la salud, considerada como un bien del "capital" . En este sentido "el rol" del sujeto enfermo: éste, al estar improductivo, se transforma en un gasto social y por lo tanto debe sacrificar su libertad y espontaneidad para adoptar el rol de enfermo que lo obliga a la curación.* (...) ahora es considerado un ser improductivo que tiene que consumir salud para no dañar a la sociedad. (...) La intervencion medica reductora en su expresión de maquina de normalizacion social, impide la creatividad que puede surgir del duelo y el sufrimiento. Excluido socialmente, el individuo enfermo ve hoy día aumentar su soledad y su perdida de autonomía.*

Modern medicine alienates people, from a specific subject it becomes a clinical case, a manipulable object, interpreted by the medical gaze in terms of "organic system". This is transformed into denial, repression of the person by the privilege granted to the object, taking away from the sick individuals the power to reflect, source of subjectivity, in turn the central condition of the subject that makes us beings with will.
In a hierarchical order, the state, the church and modern medicine are systems of repression towards the subjectivity and reflective capacity of people. In its interior, medicine emerges as the institution that guides and dictates the hygienic and behavioral norms desirable, healthy and rational, with the explicit objective of preserving health, considered as a "capital" good. In this sense "the role" of the sick subject: this, being unproductive, is transformed into a social expenditure and therefore must sacrifice his freedom and spontaneity to adopt the role of the patient that forces him to cure. * (.. .) is now considered an unproductive being that has to consume health in order not to harm society. (...) The reductive medical intervention in its expression of social normalization machine, prevents the creativity that can arise from grief and suffering. Socially excluded, the sick individual sees today increasing his loneliness and loss of autonomy. *
